iPad Alarm/Clock App?

Does anyone know if there will be a clock/alarm app on the iPad, like the one the iPhone and iPod Touch have? If not does anyone know of one that would be great for the iPad?

You could always use an existing iPhone app. I'm sure someone will come up with some apps.

I'd actually like to see an alarm app that upon waking presents the local weather and maybe some news headlines.

I might have to start coding that one myself.
 
Ok so I was poking around the app store and it turns out there are already alarm clock apps out there.
 
One thing to keep in mind, any App Store alarm clock you buy is not going to run in the background, meaning that the app has to be open in order for the alarm to work. Big fail IMO.

I have to agree with you on this one. The last thing you want is to forget to launch your alarm app before going to sleep and have that be the reason you overslept. Unless they can integrate it into the clock somehow so that it triggers without fail, I will never pay for an alarm app on the iPad.

I don't have an iPhone (yet), but it's good to know at least the iPhone has alarms integrated into the clock. If it were like the iPad in this sense, that would be a showstopper for me, as I rely on my phone to wake me up every day.

After looking these apps over I downloaded "Lifelike Clock." There are many reasons I chose it among them are:

1. I like the weather being displayed with the time.
2. I like the fact that I can choose to have it run while it is plugged in charging, like overnight.
3. I like the choice of clock of clock faces, although there could be more.
4. I like the volume control being easily at hand.
5. Ilike the night shade to keep the screen dark so you can sleep--we will have to see if it gets dark enough.
6. I really like having reveille on a bugle being one of the 'alarm' choices. It goes to the heart of this old Navyman. A 'Bosun Pipe' would be better but the bugle is OK.
 
Just purchased the Lifelike alarm clock and I love it. Has weather forecast and current temp. Can play your tunes on it too. Has different faces and lots of wakeup sounds.
 
I just decided to grab an app instead of buying a clock. The only thing about it is I wonder if having the screen on all night is bad for the iPad. I'm sure that's a ridiculous question, but I wondered.

I agree with all the points but there can be many other things too in addition to these, some link to the social media, or may be a stop watch or a simple timer?

Alarm clocks are getting modern everyday, some new feature is added everyday, am looking forward to hear about new alarms apps.
