I just wanted to let everyone who is on the fence know that my local Best Buy did not charge me a restocking fee when I returned it. While I believe that policy might change from store to store, if you are considering an iPad but on the fence like I was then it might be worth it to check with your local store to ask about a restocking fee.
Returning it was a simple procedure. Took it to the customer service desk with my receipt, she had a geeksquad guy take a look at it to make sure it was still in mint condition, and she rang up my refund. Not a peep about any possible restocking fee and I walked out of Best Buy with a refund exactly for what I paid for the iPad on Saturday.
BTW they aren't really selling out as they still had plenty of stock of all three models.
