iPad (and iPhone) cannot connect to iMac network

In the past, I've been able to 'create network' and jin it on my iPhone and iPad. Now, I cannot connect either. It shows the wifi 'fan' as if it is connected, but it won't let me connect. Help!

And under network preferences, it says:
"Wi-Fi has the self assigned IP Address xxxxxxxxx and will not be able to connect to the Internet."

Your radio is connected (to something) but you are not getting an IP address from the router. A lot of things could be causing this. I'm not sure what you mean by "jin it" -- what are you using to serve IP addresses?

Forget the network (Settings > General > Network > WiFi > select the network > Forget this network) and reconnect. See if that helps.
