Ipad and iphone docks to same speakers

Hey was curious if anyone had a setup useing the line outs from two apple docks to the same speaker set. I want to use a splitter to plug both docks into a aux in on a reciever for my zone speakers but I was seeing if anyone had tried this before or had a good option to it.

I don't know about whether there is a splitter for docks, but I just used a Y-jack with audio lines to connect both my Mac and my iPod to a set of speakers at home and that worked well enough for my needs.
