iPad and Iphone search

After getting two Iphone 4s's, my wife and I like tracking each other on our PC. I intend to purchase an iPad 3 when available and we were wondering if I could track my wife's iphone on the iPad (or vice versa)? I know we can't on the iPhone, but i was just wondering??

Download Find my Friends on all the devices and then add each other, or setup find my iPhone with one account.

We both have different accounts: I did not try the My friends thing. Just thought it would convenient if the Ipad could behave like a PC or Mac in this instance.
