I have unlimited data and there is a tethering mode that you can connect to your iPhone and it will only allow that device to connect without broadcasting the ssid to other devices. Does this incur more data charges? It hasn't prompted me to subscribe to a carrier hotspot plan (with Sprint) so I'm not sure if I should keep using it.

iPad Mini 2 is at 9.2
iPhone 6+ is at 8.4

Thanks

It's not a huge deal, since I have my iPhone jailbroken with the tethering app that I use quite a bit with no extra charges. I was just wondering if the personal hotspot that's built in to 9.2 is something that would trigger extra fees.
