Didn't hear any mention of tethering and given the cut-rate deal would imagine it will not be possible.

If I'm going to hope for AT&T to offer tethering, it would be through my iPhone. At least that's been sort of promised/implied to us in the past. That way I could tie the phone to the iPad or my MacBook, depending on where I am and what I'm trying to do. If I'm going to pay another $30+ dollars a month for additional data, it seems funny that my trusted laptop would be left out of all the fun.
