Skyfire, Mobile Mouse Pro, Adobe Ideas... Oh man, so many to choose from. Any specific task you're trying to accomplish?

I'm getting my first ipad on the 16th and want to see what apps are useful. So far the apps I'm thinking about buying are 60 minutes and floorboard. I like too read the news and follow sports and tech.

You'll probably love Flipboard if you're into current events. Very cool interface for news and sports. Mobile Mouse Pro allows the iPad to function as a keyboard and mouse for a computer if that ever comes up. The Mac Mini crowd is very fond of that one. I have a feeling you might like Skyfire if you're into browsing the web because it plays flash video in places Safari will not and it also allows you to choose the option of desktop mode so the sites you visit look the same as they would on a computer. Regardless of the apps you get into make sure to take a couple workshops at your local Apple store or authorized reseller to make sure you really know how to make the device do what it's capable of.
