I just bought a 2024 Ford Transit, and the dash screen is incredibly small, especially for backing up. It’s also mounted flat with no tilt towards the driver, which makes it even harder to use.

I was wondering if anyone here has successfully used an iPad as their main head unit while also integrating the vehicle’s backup camera, allowing the camera feed to display directly on the iPad?
Any advice or experiences would be greatly appreciated!

I saw someone use an iPad on the car forum I am on but it was for music and maps. I think they have now taken it out and used a head unit with CarPlay. I am not sure how you would get the iPad to accept the feed from the reversing camera automatically - where as a head unit would do this.

Could you not replace your heard unit with a better aftermarket unit?

just put a 30 dollar backup camera on your van. Some of them come with a smart mirror or a small display too.
