My MacBook Pro screen just died. While the screen is not working the repair man said the rest of the computer works just fine. I can't afford a new screen just now, so I was wondering if it would be possible to use my iPad as a replacement screen? Since my screen is dead I'm looking for a solution that will enable me to connect the iPad without having to use that screen during set-up. Is it possible? Any good ideas???

The two devices:

MacBook Pro 17" 2.33GHz Intel Core 2 Duo from 2006

iPad 4 with lightning cable

No, physically connecting them isn't doable. You could plug your MBP into an external monitor long enough to install TeamViewer, which would enable you to operate your MBP from the iPad.

Yep there are many apps that do this over wifi. Though the lag is pretty excruciating to use as a primary monitor
