iPad iPad availability

We've been holding off for quite a while to replace our first gen with something that would work for us while traveling instead of toting a laptop. So if apple does indeed introduce the new ipad, will it be available on thursday and if so, will it also be available in places like best buy on day one?

It will be available to walk in and purchase on October 24th.

In my opinion, there will be a line in the morning but I'm almost certain you can walk in later in the afternoon or next day and buy one.
