iPad Ipad battery drainage

I recharged to 100% my ipad 4 yesterday and I didn't even use it and it drained 12% of battery. What should I do? Should I upgrade my ipad? locations services off, background apprefresh off, parallax effect off.What is happenign to my Ipad?Is this drain normal? really dissapointed
