IPAD calendar: How to delete unwanted B'Dates

Hi,
I can't delete a birthday that I put the wrong date down
and now I can't add a birthday with the icon B'D box.... I've gone everywhere ... Details. It doesn't allow me to edit or delete!
What's up??? It's bugging me that I can't do it or find help on this subject anywhere!

I think the birthdays are coming from your contacts. Look in your contacts.
