iPad camera issues?

I know the cameras are not high quality but why is the front facing camera better than the rear? The rear camera is terribly grainy while the front takes descent pictures with far less noise!

Yeah, I just saw the sample image which take by iPad 2. Holy god! It seems the quality of rear camera is as bad as iPod Touch 4

my guess is

front camera is better for face time.

back camera for for fun, no real purpose.

who would take pictures with an iPad?
