does any1 think that apple will upgrade the software anytime to allow the camera kit to be used will ios 4 with iphone? it would be nice to hold a few external movies on an sd card or external disk.

You can't watch movies or anything using the camera kit anyway.
I think it could be possible for them to add iPhone compatibility for the kit though. Although I think part of the reason it is there for the iPad is that it doesn't have a camera and also that whole "between an iPhone and MacBook" thing. They might not feel it's necessary to use it on an iPhone.
