Heya Everyone,
I'm looking to get a tablet. Amongst other things, I would really be getting it for music.
Question 1) Would an iPad be compatible with Logic or Garageband, where I could mess around with something on the iPad and then bring it to my Mac Book Pro and expand it?
Question 2) Would the iPad give me something that I don't have in my MacBook? Like, I've always wanted something like a Lemur: http://www.jazzmutant.com/lemur_overview.php to do some coolio stuff with my music. Would the touch screen of the iPad be able to do anything like that?

So those are my questions. My budget was around $200 so I just wonder is it worth the extra $$ to get an iPad. Not being expandable is a real downside but..I'll manage if its worth it.
Thanks guys!!

GarageBand yes. Quite easily in fact.

It is also audiobus compat now which opens up a lot more apps for use.

Check out the videos on my fixed1t youtube website

I bought the iPad thinking I could drag Garageband files off the mac onto the iPad and was annoyed when I could.

So I wrote a converter Mac Garageband to iPad 2, iPad 3 and iPad mini. Then last week somebody asked 'can I open mac garageband songs on my iPod garageband' so I created a new converter.

The videos are on my fixed1t youtube page.
