This is a completely impractical thing that will never happen, but I would love if Apple offered a customised iPad buying service so people could build their own iPads out of modules to get a machine tailored to person.

For example, I'd probably get the body of the iPad 2, an A9X + 4GB of ram from the iPad Pro, The camera from the iPad 3 and the wireless tech out of the iPad Air 2. That way I could save money by having the non retina display, which I don't need, and the old camera as I don't need a good camera, instead focusing on the performance aspect which I find important. Everyone has different needs and wants, and others may not care about the ram, and might be interested in the camera for example.

As I said - never ever ever ever ever ever gonna happen but it would be awfully convenient :p
