iPad iPad data didn't update

I bought more data through AT&T and when I go to use the web it says I am out of data, and when I log onto my account it says I still have 250mb left. How do I get the iPad to update?

Have you tried restarting the device or flipping cellular data on and off? Mine is on a set amount every month so I've never had to update my data plan. I tried looking on the Internet, but I couldn't come up with much.

I'm not sure why that wasn't done first. He would of had a much quicker resolution than waiting for a response on a forum.
