I purchased the cable that connects my ipad to my hdtv and love it...

...however am wondering if any way exists to connect it to my 2nd gen ipod touch.

When connected it says, "this accessory is not supported by ipod touch."

there's a few apps in cydia... just search tv out

Would display out work for the iPod touch?

I currently have t on my ipad and works great.

The dilemma I'm running into with the at moment is when I connect the iPod touch to the tv with the VGA cable it tells me that the cable is not supported with iPod touch.

it might... the app should let it around... what fw are you running?

Display resolution

I think it is related to the resolution of the device. I had an iPad and an iPhone 3GS. The iPad VGA adapter worked fine on the iPad, but was unsupported on the iPhone 3GS. When I got my iPhone 4 I thought I'd try it there just for grins. Works fine for all the standard VGA out apps. My iPhone 4 isn't jailbroken, so I can't speak for the other apps, but I'm sure it would work fine.

I think it is related to the resolution of the device, with the iPhone 4's retina display matching up to allow the adapter to work.

Not sure, but that's my thought.

OR it's because apple wants to slowly phase anything that isn't new out of support o_O
