I get sound when I do everything on my iPad except play games (Tiny Tower, Starfront, Feed Me Oil). Obviously, for all these games I have made sure I have sounds enabled. I exit these games and play a song from the iPod app immediately and get sound. I have done everything I know to do except a fresh restore. Any help?

Edit: All sounds have worked fine since launch day (iPad 2), but as of the last few days this is going on.

Don't go that far. If you have something in which the games are muted but iPod isn't, it's because you have Mute on. The iPad has a couple of ways to mute sound. One is using the regular volume controls, and then there's an actual mute function which turns off sounds from Applications, but allows certain key (user controlled) stuff to play, like iPod music, etc. So note the difference. Dropping the volume all the way down silences everything including iPod music. Switching Mute On silences just apps like game apps, etc.

If your Lock switch (right side of iPad) isn't muting your games, then double tap your home button and swipe that task bar to the right once to see your music/volume settings. If the icon on the left looks like a speaker crossed-through, tap that once to unmute your iPad. If it instead looks like an orientation lock icon, then you simply need to flip the lock switch (notice the speaker icon show up without it being crossed out) and you're done.

Yep, that was it. I don't understand how it mutes some sounds and not others. I can play YouTube videos and watch movies, but couldn't get sound from games. Strange to me. Thanks for the help!
