I have a strange issue where my 64GB 10" iPad Pro ( Cellular-Wifi )won't consistently go to sleep when I close Apple Smart Keyboard case. So far I notice it when I bring my iPad to work in my backpack . When I take it out, usually around 7 hours after I put it in , it's burning hot and the battery has gone from 100% to 3-4% charge.
The case is firmly closed, but the iPad must have been awake since it's hot and the battery is almost dead. I can only guess as to what is waking it up. I do use bluetooth headphones during the day, and I often hear 2 connection beeps when I turn them on , one for my Macbook, and the other is either my phone or the iPad. I don't check devices to find out because I'm well, busy working.
The BT headphones are the only thing that I can think of that might wake up my iPad, but should it do that when the magnetic cover is closed?
What else might be keeping it awake? I'd like to have a good charge when I use my iPad during my long train commute home after work, but this issue drains the battery almost all the way down.
