Ipad e-book epub covers

I put some e-books on my Ipad in e-pub format. All the covers to the e-books showed in the books repository on my local drive & on the Ipad itself. I did a software update & lost most of the covers to my e-books, even though all the covers still show in the e-book repository on my local drive. Do I need to delete all the e-pubs & put them back on manually?

I would try that. For some reason, few epubs that I had took 2 tries to load before cover showed up. Others showed up just fine.

Yes, mine did that, when I updated my iPad. I unsynced, then resynced and they're fine, now.
