after 3 iPads, i finally decided to set up an email account on my iPad.
now never done this before so bear with with me here...

i've got my yahoo account to push.
i hear the ding or chime when an email comes thru.

should i get a notification as well on my screen like on my iPhone so i know who it is from?

thanks.

Don't sweat it! If you want notifications on new emails, go into Settings...then Notifications. In there under the section "In Notification Center", scroll down to find the Mail app. There you can select either banners or alerts depending on your preference as well as settings for if you'd like to receieve notifications while in the lock screen etc.

wow, how embarrassingly easy that was.
thanks so much.

not at any time did i think to to check "notifications".
all did was click on every single setting in the "mail" tab instead.

wow... how sad.

Thanks again!
