Ok I need some help here. I have been through 4 iPad 2's in the last week and every single one of them has had an issue.

The first one was bought brand new, had scratches on the glass
The replacement had dust/dead pixels, exchanged
The third one had the same issue, dust/dead pixels, exchanged
The fourth one has the same issue, dust/dead pixels....

Should I try for a fifth or just say screw it and deal with the crappy quality?

Sincerely,
Frustrated iPad User

If you are buying from a shop, just open it up there and check it. I can't see how this would continually happen.

Agree...it's from Apple Store in Jax and I didn't check it today. Stupid of me...but, I also thought there is no freaking way this happens a fourth time.

I always read these (why do I bother?) threads with a grain of salt. Might be some truth here, defects happen. One wonders though if the OP is a troll or OC.
