I just got a new ipad, the 32 gb version, because most of the time I won't need to keep a lot on it.

However when I'm traveling I want to be able to put photos from my on it and then probably transfer them to dropbox and an external hard drive if possible. And I also want to be able to have some movies (divx/xvid) on it.

So here are my questions:
(1) I've looked at some external hard drive solutions including cloudftp + a drive, hyperdrive, the seagate drive, and the kingston wi-drive. None of them seem to indicate that files can be transfered from the ipad to the device. Is there any device that allows two way transfer of files?

(2) Since I don't do format conversions, I have a 3rd party divx player. Do any of these devices allow for 3rd party players to access and download the videos to them? Are there any drives/devices such that a 3rd party player will be able to play the media right off of the drive/device without having to transfer it? I would consider a jailbreak but prefer not to for now.

(3) Related specifically to dropbox, if I import photos via the camera connection kit, upload them to dropbox, and then delete the photos from the ipad, they should still be on dropbox, right?

Any other suggestions for this sort of thing are appreciated.
