iPad flooding my network

For the past week or so, my iPad has been sending data to my Mac many times every hour, for about 5 minutes each time, at 500-800K/s.

Any reason why? iTunes isn't detecting any activity.

Is wifi sync turned on? it could be looking for iTunes?

Yes, it's turned on, but it's been on since I got my iPad last summer. And if it's looking for iTunes, it's doing its best at 800KB/s for a few minutes!

Could it be iOS6 related?
