All iPads iPad For Gaming

Hi All,

I want to buy an iPad for my brother who loves gaming. I just wanted to know if it is good for hardcore gaming like playing action games (Assassin's creed, mass effect, dead space etc..)?

I am getting 2 used iPad devices, one is iPad mini and other is iPad 4. Please suggest if iPad is perfect for action games like above. He loves only and only action games, games like subway surfer, temple run etc are of no use to him.

I tried searching online but couldn't find the answer. Hoping to get some help from here.

I've found that you'll get the best gaming experience with an air or retina mini. Dont expect any current console "hardcore" games. The first bio shock was recently released, I play GTA games ported to iOS, and max Payne. All great games that i enjoy now as much as I did when they were released years ago. I would consider this as casual gaming though. I also enjoy gaming on my iPad with a controller a lot more than touch controls for some games too.
