Hi, maybe a stupid question but my iPad Gen 1 is running 4.3.2, I am wondering how I can upgrade to 5.1.1 without problems. I just downloaded the 5.1.1 restore software. Now, if and when I get to 5.1.1 will I be able to jailbreak with RedSnow?

Thanks Guys

You must have the 5.1.1 hashes saved to upgrade

Ok got it done, put the iPad in DFU mode and upgraded to 5.1.1, then used Absinthe to jailbreak, works great. It took quite awhile to get everything right, but happy with the upgrade.. I didn't have saved SHSH blobs for the 5.1.1 either.

If your iPad is still on 4.3.2, SAVE YOUR BLOBS.

But anyways, 5.1.1 is the final version for the first generation iPad, so you should just be able to restore it with no problems at all. :)
