Somebody order me from Apple an iPad Air as a gift. It's going to be shipped directly from Apple to my house. In the order I'm listed as recipient. Since it's getting close to the next generation iPad's do you think I could bring the unopened box to an Apple store and get store credit for it? I don't want to seem ungrateful but I would rather have the latest and greatest.

I honestly would just keep it and try to enjoy it. Nothing is confirmed about the next iPad yet.

For the first time ever, I do not plan to upgrade to the newest IPad Air it rMini. I think I've already got the latest and greatest. iOS 8 will give me most of the features that Apple will tout so folks will buy one, but the current Air will upgrade and be just as good IMO.
Open it and enjoy it now. That's what I would do.
