Ipad gone dead

Hi

i am an ipad user in India & had been using it for the past 2 months. Just half an hour ago it has gone dead & is not responding to the power on button. It's also not showing the charging icon on being connected to the charger. I bought it from Apple istore in NY.

Any suggestions...pls help!

If the battery completely died, it has to be charged for about 20 minutes before it shows anything. It happened to my sister-in-law once. You could also try holding down the power and home button at the same time for 10+ seconds
