iPad headphone to USB adaptor???

Hi- I searched for an answer and still haven't found one.

I want to play audio out of my iPad in my classroom but the speakers that are connected to my smartboard are USB. Is there a headphone jack to USB adaptor?

Also, is this my possible solution (even thought it would require me to add another audio cable into the mix which I would like to avoid).

No that will not work and I believe there is no such adapter.

What you can do is plug the iPad into the dual RCA connectors on the speakers. Cables that do that are very common, you can even find them at any electronics store, Target, Fred Meyer, and maybe even a grocery store.

The problem is the speakers have only USB (well, I'm 95% sure). If they have the RCA connectors I guess I found my solution.
