I have an icon that looks like a bat on the top left hand of my Ipad.

What does this mean? What does it do?

u downloaded something from cydia to replace the iPad, search cydia packages and see what u installed. You can also check settings/winterboard.

Zeppelin, a cydia tweak.

The bat is the default avatar with options to change it within settings.
(If the OP is truly unaware of this download that is probably due to many themes including this tweak automatically within.)
