iPad iMessage stop syncing with iPhone

Topic says it all.. Syncing with iMessage on my iPad is not syncing with iPhone. Stopped randomly today.
 
Turn iMessage and FaceTime off on your iPad. Wait about 5 minutes and turn them both back on.

Sometimes the services lose track of the number associated with the Apple ID.
