iPad iPad in kitchen?

can i use my ipad in the kitchen? i had it in there before sitting down, and someone turned the microwave on, and now am worried in case taht can harm the ipad?

I don't own a microwave but I use my iPad 1 in the kitchen exclusively. I don't think the microwave can really harm it unless you put it in the microwave.

It could possibly interrupt the Wi-fi signal, when in use. Other than that, I don't believe it is a problem.

I have an iPad 1 mounted on a wall in the kitchen, about 5 - 6 feet from the microwave and have had no issues at all.

Makes looking up and looking at recipes much easier

I think that the only way that a microwave will harm the iPad is if you put the iPad in the microwave and turn it on.
I think it's safe to say, that if the radiation waves were strong enough to harm the iPad, they would also be strong enough to harm a person.
You and your iPad are perfectly safe.

If you are on 2.4 GHz wifi it may interrupt the signal, otherwise you should be fine.
