iPad ios26 - Extra Icon on Home Screen

Running a iPad Air 12.9 M2 - updated to ipados26 Public Beta. I now have an extra icon on the Home Screen. I can’t get rid of it and I can’t capture it in a screen shot. I took pics of it. If I double click it it then shows a lock icon - then double click it again and it goes back to the original icon. I can move it around the screen but can’t delete.

If I hard reboot the iPad it will be gone for about a minute then comes back.

I’ve reset and reloaded with 2 different backups - it still comes back.

Any ideas what this is?

Is that used for touch ID? Used the same as the dedicated key on an Apple Mac keyboard? and would be something that appears on the home screen on an iPad?

I think I just found it. Under Accessability - it’s the Hover Text. I turned that off and it disappeared.
