Hi, I got an iPad on craigslist, but the person didn't give me the cable. I've been using my iPhones cable, but was wondering if there is a difference in iPhone and iPad cables, and if I got a dedicated iPad cable would it charge faster?

The cable wont make a difference but the wall adapter will.

Along that the output is 2 amps-2.4 amps, you are good to use that wall adapter. The cable that came with your iPhone is fine to use.

I think this one would have more use to you:
Anker 18W / 3.6A Dual-Port USB Wall Charger / Portable Travel Charger - Simultaneous, full-speed charging(white) by Anker http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00B8L36A6/ref=cm_sw_r_udp_awd_.2IItb1F78XAA

I'm considering getting that and cancelling the other order (it hasn't shipped yet)... I saw that one of the USB ports says "Android" and the other says "Apple" and they have different numbers next to them. What's the difference?

Assuming your talking about the one that I link to (anker 40w).
PowerIQ makes all the USB ports universal and work with any device. All the ports can charge a tablet or smartphone at any current. No labels needed. Very good design.
