I am hoping to get my dad his first iPad. He will most likely be getting the 13 in air (there is a small chance he may get the Pro for the better screen but I doubt it). The bigger issue I see is that he has fairly large hands and typing will be a challenge on almost any keyboard case I have seen. I don’t know how much typing he will do (95% of the time he will be reading or consuming content) but if anyone has ideas on keyboards I am interested.

I have big hands and have no problems typing on a Zagg Messenger keyboard folio with my iPad 11. So my guess would be that he won’t have a problem with a keyboard and an iPad Air of either size. 🤷‍♂️

buying him an external full sized bluetooth or usb- keyboard is not an option?
I am starting to lean that way or something like that. I dont think he will be typing all the time and most of the time he likes to read at a table/stand so i can see that working. I would probably look for one that is somewhat light and “portable”. I may even start looking into those keyboards that fold up.

It might work but this also could be one of those situations where we would want to try one out first which limits options.
