iPad iPad Kindle app borked in latest update?

Just updated the app and now it crashes on opening on both my 2021 12.9 Pro & Mini 6 - others seeing that? I can use my Oasis but the iPad app is convenient at times.
 
Saw the issue noted on Reddit and that deleting/reloading the app fixes the crashes. A real pain when you have many hundreds of books ...
