So after reading the forums and noting the sporadic posts on twitter about localised inventory info, I decided to set up a twitter account that would tweet and re-tweet information about iPad availability.
I've called almost every store in California, except for a few that had long wait times (for which I made a list). Some confirmed iPads for sale tomorrow at 9, others were less specific (if we have stock, then we'll open early) and still others said "We don't have any in stock today, we won't have any tomorrow."
So, here's what I'm asking for. I have a feeling most of you who comment on here use twitter. If you call your local store and get information on iPad availability, tweet it with the hashtag #iPadLocator. That way I can easily locate it and re-tweet it. The shortages are going to last for a while it seems, and as long as there are individuals who really, really want to get an iPad now, it seems like it's worth doing this.
Any questions, feel free to reply here or hit me up on twitter @iPadLocator.
