I noticed that the iPad 4th generation and the iPad Mini (Sprint and Verizon) are compatible with South Korea's LTE.

1) Can I buy an iPad from Apple and use it as if it were unlocked?
2) Will the Sprint/Verizon iPad support South Korean LTE?

Since this would be a relatively large purchase for me, I would like the most accurate information possible.

Thanks.

They should work with the following carriers in Korea: SK Telecom and KT.
