Considering an iPad with cell connectivity this christmas, well I wonder what a 'typical' amount of data bits can be expected. In other words in light of tiered data plans available what plan / carrier makes the most sense?

Are the tiered data plans of any real value today? What are macrumors iPad users typical experiences ?

It easy to use a lot of data and not even realize it. You'll want to go with whoever provides the better signal in your area. I don't know where you're located, so I can't really suggest a carrier.

I'd start with something like a 3 GB plan and see what kind of data you'll use. Of course expect it to be higher the first couple of months since you'll probably be playing with it more than if you'd had it for 6 months.
