Ipad, Macbook, Iphone4...now what?

So I have had an ipad and an Iphone4 for the past few months and dont do much to where they talk/work together. I just purchased an Macbook Pro 13 and am now wanting to get them all working together. I have bought some magazines and tried to find info on "how to" but have not had much luck. I would love if people can chime in and help me figure out what these can all do together. Thanks I look forward to learning.

Just use iTunes. What else do you need to know?

I have always heard people talking about how they can work/talk together using apps. I didnt know if someone could share some of those app ideas.
