I was in a Best Buy store today, and right in the middle of their iPad/Apple display they had put a Galaxy Tab. I thought Apple was pretty strict about how they allowed their official partners to retail their stuff. I would have to imagine that includes not putting competitor's merchandise in the middle of their area.

Anyone else seen this at other locations?

I actually think they did it to please the customer. I prefer to have all similar porducts side by side to decide which one to buy.

Maybe it's a competitive edge? They're trying to look better by comparison ;)

Agreed. After playing with a Tab at several different stores, it seems the Samsung wouldn't want the Tab next to the iPads.

Fry's still has the Tab at $799, $499 iPad performs better. Yes I know, but if the customer doesn't care or doesn't want about 3G...
