So Apple has the iPad mini (1st gen) at $249. I am thinking of getting one for a small project.

Rather than go through Apple, which reputable place may have it for slightly cheaper will still the 1 year warranty and new in box with good return policy?

And no... eBay doesn't count as reputable.

Apple Refurbs have the 1 year warranty and I believe they are $209.
