How much earlier than product release does Apple usually offer their pre-orders? I remember being able to pre-order my iPad 3 one week before. What are the chances the rMini be released by November 15?
Available for preorder maybe but not available for sale on that day according to that report. There is a difference between those two.
More importantly its reporting the Airs will be available for both immediate shipping and store pickup at least in the US. Hopefully that is true and also applies to the UK as I am looking to buy an iPad Air.

just a rumor. would be happy if they do that. i heard supply will be limited and will not stabilize until next year. so maybe i will just hang on to my mini for awhile and see how the new one is.
Yeah, I'm feeling the retina mini is going to join a long list of Christmas gifts that have people fruitlessly driving all over town and waiting in lines at 2am. I'm thinking, rubik cubes, cabbage patch dolls, transformers, Nintendo gameboys, beanie babies, razor scooters, xbox 360, etc.
And if supplies are really tight, maybe folks will switch to the ipad air? At $100 more I'm sure Apple will be happy.
