I am a college student with a heavy 17" gaming laptop. I am looking for something that I can just grab to take notes on. I will be looking at SOME graphs and some excel/spreadsheets. I have used an iPad before but with the new mini I'm not sure which is best for my needs. I don't read a lot of books and I have a TV at home for movies. Any games I want to play I can use my laptop for. I can get free software on my iPad that is compatible with my classes as well. With that said I'm looking for:
  • Portability
  • Easy note taking (I will be buying a bluetooth/external keyboard)
  • Light weight (although, I know they are similar in weight)
  • Not a hassle to view powerpoints, spreadsheets, notes, papers, etc...

I have an iPad mini, and my school has iPad Airs that we can use. From my experience (most people I know agree), it is very hard to look at, or even edit , powerpoint, spreadsheets, etc. I have tried Google Sheets, Excel, etc., but they all are so slow, and do not have as many tools as I, and you, I'm guessing, would like.
