Has anyone seen anything like this? There is a green downward line and white horizontal lines that flash and make the iPad pretty much unusable. The Genius bar said it's hardware but they don't replace the displays (???). They will replace the whole thing for $250, but I was hoping a 3rd party servicer could actually replace the screen for less than that. Is that a reasonable assumption, or should I take their deal?

If Apple says its hardware then it might not even help you to just replace the screen itself. Can they give you more details about what's actually broken? That would help.

Otherwise, for $250, replacing it might be a better choice in the long run. IMO.
