I searched around the forums, and I just find general wifi drop out problems, but mine seems a bit specific.

I generally have no problems with my ipad mini 2's wifi connection with web browsing and all the other stuff.

It's ONLY when I use streaming video apps where it will frequently act as if the wifi signal cut out (the wifi icon is gone at the top and, depending on the app, will go back to the menu or say the connection is lost).

This does NOT happen with youtube or twitch, but DOES on Netflix, FX Now, HBO Now, and the other TV channel apps.

It does the same thing with Time Warner streaming on demand content, but in that case, the video will just pause and I have to use the swipe-up menu to turn wifi off and on again, wait a few seconds, and press play again).

With Netflix, it gets a pop up message saying the connection is gone, but it's magically back again when it takes me to the menu again and I can click the episode to resume. Netflix is the worst offender because I can barely get through 5 minutes before it happens. Sometimes I can go around 10 minutes before it does it again.

This is maddening. It does not happen on my xbox 360 or Nexus 7 tablet, so it appears it's specific to the iPad.

Anyone else had this problem and what can you do??
Is this an ios8 thing, or do I have a faulty ipad?
