iPad mini 3g won't connect with LTE (Telus)

I bought an iPad mini 3g LTE off Craigslist. From what the model MD540KH/A, I think it originally was from China or Korea. Here is what I found: iPad mini (Wi-Fi+Verizon 4G). It works perfectly EXCEPT I can't get LTE from my provider Telus (western Canada). ONLY 3g. I have good coverage in my area as I use my ipad 3 at the same place (my living room) with no problem. I reset all the network settings already to no avail. Any hint? Thanks in advance!
