I'm looking to buy an iPad Mini 4. Some questions:

1. Will screen film protectors that are cut for the Mini 3 work with the Mini 4? In particular, will the cut-outs for the home button and camera be the same?

2. Is there any advantage to the Mini 4 versus the Mini 3 for gaming? I know the CPU is updated, but can the Mini 3 handle all games?

1. Work, yes. Fit perfectly, no. Mini 4 is 3.2 millimetres taller (and .1mm wider), since the screen is the same size the extra will be on the bezels so it's like it won't like up perfect with the home button or camera and even if it does you can be sure it won't cover the entire front.

Of course, unless you like to throw it in a big filled with sharp objects without a smart cover or like to slide it around face down on various surfaces you don't need a screen protector anyway.

2. A small advantage, yes. The graphics processor is 1.6 times faster. Developers are generally pretty good at supporting all the available hardware though so that isn't likely to prevent you from playing any games. What might be an issue is that there will come a time when Apple decides to no longer support the Mini 3 and other A7 equipped devices with the latest iOS update, at that point the Mini 4 will be supported for at least another year possibly more (especially if it has the rumoured 2GB RAM). At that point in time you may see games that require the latest version of iOS thus preventing you from running them, this is however more common with regular apps than games.
